I’m not sure what happened exactly. It was a fluke. Like winning a contest that you don’t remember entering.  I never win anything.

A week ago, I won the blogging lottery. My numbers and page views hit triple of my normal amount. That’s exciting stuff for a blogger. Especially when that blogger wants to continue to build her brand. Or wants to gain new readership. Or just recently had a very lengthy bout of writer’s block that was extremely painful to deal with.

Who knows when I’ll grab that success again….or, more realistically, if but  I’m okay with that.

There’s a fine line between wanting to be successful blogging and not wanting to deal with the idiots that come out of the woodwork and try to shut you down. I don’t need triple page views all the time. I’m pretty happy with a bit of extra views and some consistency.

I thank you, dear reader, for that.

In the meantime, I want to do a mini recap of my last few months of stories. Some happy tales. Some pretty sad. Some, so I’m told, pretty hilarious.

You be the judge if I’m worthy (or maybe overdue) for some minor blogging success.

  1. In this one, I make fun of Californians.
  2. This one, I re-live what could’ve been a very bad day. Very, very bad.
  3. Here I tell lies to my son. Lieylieylies.
  4. Speaking of underwear….
  5. Lastly, my post after my father passed away last year…..the previously top page view post on my site.

These were just a few of my favorites. Last week, this little post rocked my site. It has became a new favorite. It’s pretty freaking awesome when someone you don’t know pins the post on Pinterest and it ends up shared on your feed. Not directly. Through another site.

Mind blown.

Here’s to more crazy days of reader-loving posts ahead.
